Rocky Mountain Wacky Warmers makes adorable, fun, and photo worthy kids hats

About the Founder

Founder Tara Brown grew up in a small-town in Colorado and has always enjoyed making things. She often had great ideas of what she should try to make and sell–mostly selling to justify the making . As a child she sold lanyard key chains and earrings at a relative’s fruit stand and in middle school she sold hair scrunchies and assorted chocolate covered foods.

Why Fleece Baby Hats?

While trying to come up with photo props for her daughter’s one-week-old photo shoot she remembered some fun baby hats she had made for nieces and nephews in the past. The photos of her newborn in the hats were adorable. Two weekends later on a 16 hour drive she kept thinking about the hats, crunched some numbers and dreamed about the possibilities.

Doesn’t every little girl’s basketball team need matching basketball hats with cute little ribbons to keep their heads warm after a game? And doesn’t every baby need a cute little hat to take pictures in? Tara thought so! So the adventure of handcrafting cute hats began and Rocky Mountain Wacky Warmers was born!
